Since 1988 CPC Supported Employment Services (SES) has been assisting consumers in their goal to return and remain in the work force. CPC’s Supported Employment program offers a continuum of vocational services.
The program emphasizes employment and training in actual jobs rather than just focusing on creating a resume. It is a place and train concept, which promotes self-determination through the exercise of choice. In addition, Supported Employment will assist individuals to identify their career objectives through the exploration of their preferences and interests.
Trained staff work with clients to assess and utilize their individual strengths and resources utilizing a psychiatric rehabilitation readiness model. The model was designed to help consumers choose, obtain and retain paid employment. The ultimate goal is to assist individuals to maximize their vocational potential.
Services included in the program are:
- Vocational assessment
- Job Seeking Skills
- Academic Supports
- Career Exploration
- Problem Solving Skills
- Travel Training
- Job Development
The Supported Employment Program is located in the CPC offices at 6 Industrial Way West, Suite D-7.
